FAQ
We offer flexible scheduling options for students, young adults, and parents. All services are delivered virtually, making them accessible to individuals nationwide.
While health insurance typically does not cover executive function coaching, many families explore other funding sources. Some families have successfully used 529 College Savings Plans to pay for services. If you would like to pursue this option, we recommend contacting your plan provider for details.
Families with a Flexible Spending Account (FSA) or Health Savings Account (HSA) may also be able to use these funds. Each provider has its own requirements and approval processes, so it’s best to check directly with your FSA or HSA provider to see if our services qualify. If eligible, funds may be used through reimbursement.
If required, we can provide a letter, paid invoice, or other documentation requested from your 529 Plan, FSA, or HSA.
Cancellations must be made by 9:00 am on the day prior to the scheduled coaching session to avoid incurring a fee. Cancellations made after that time will result in a charge for the full cost of the session.
Yes, at CollegeEQ, we support anyone interested in higher education. Several of our students are college-aged individuals who have taken a leave of absence or left school early due to academic challenges. We help them regain confidence, develop executive functioning skills, and take the next steps toward their educational goals. We encourage these students to participate in a 1:1 financial literacy coaching session.

Unlike other executive functioning coaching companies, we focus exclusively on college students and young adults. Our specialized coaches have a deep understanding of the unique challenges, transitions, and demands that come with college life.
Therapy and coaching serve different but complementary purposes. Therapy, provided by a licensed mental health professional who can diagnose and treat mental health conditions, addresses underlying issues for example trauma, anxiety, or depression. Coaching focuses on building practical skills and habits to manage executive functioning challenges, like time management, organization, and planning & prioritizing tasks. Many students and young adults benefit from both. It’s common for therapists or college counseling centers to refer clients to CollegeEQ to boost their practical skills while also participating in counseling.
